MelodyVR appoints Iain Funnell as SVP Creative, Content and Editorial

Today we are delighted to welcome the Emmy, BAFTA and Rose D’Or nominated Iain Funnell to MelodyVR as SVP Creative, Content and Editorial.

Spearheading our creative output and original content strategy, Iain will work with artists and record labels to produce show-stopping VR experiences; as well as developing new content formats that make it even easier for artists to engage with their fans in virtual reality.

Iain joins us from Globe Productions, Universal Music’s creative arm, where he created and exec produced the series Launched at Red Bull Studios and The Passions of Girls Aloud, as well an award-winning VR campaign for Years & Years and Samsung.

His feature length documentaries include the Emmy nominated Queen: Days of Our Lives, Bafta nominated Professor Green: Suicide & Me, Paul McCartney & Wings: Band on the Run and the Rose D’Or nominated, Take That Come to Town for ITV1.

“As VR crosses over into the mainstream and we start to see the power and creative potential of the technology, I’m excited to collaborate with artists and labels to deliver innovative immersive experiences on a global scale. I’m really looking forward to joining Anthony, Steven, Nikki and the rest of the MelodyVR team in reaching new heights for VR.” – Iain Funnel
