Have we got a treat for you. Well, you deserve it.
We’re excited to announce the launch of Live from LA, a unique free live music series delivered directly to your home.
Broadcast from a specially designed studio location in Los Angeles, we kick off this Saturday May 16th with one of the world’s most loved and awarded superstars joining MelodyVR. Get closer than ever to songwriter, artist and producer John Legend (yes, John Legend!), as he performs live and just for you.
You’ll experience an intimate 360° view of his hit-packed set, plus everything that makes him one of the most popular musicians on the planet.
May 17th, and it’s the turn of The Score, the vein-pumping US rock band famed for their hook-packed, empowering anthems. And on May 19th comes multi-talented singer-songwriter Katelyn Tarver, with songs sparkling with humanity and hope.
More artists – including Machine Gun Kelly, Cleveland’s acclaimed rapper, singer, songwriter and actor – will follow in the coming weeks.
The aim of Live from LA is to bridge the gap between fans and artists by enabling musicians to perform with world-class production, in a completely safe environment, to homes around the globe. Live from LA will also generate funds for the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund.
All shows will be broadcast on smartphones and VR headsets via the free MelodyVR app
Artists revealed for the first week of Live from LA are as follows:
Sat May 16th at 6pm PT / 9pm ET / 2am + 1 day BST
Sun May 17th at 6pm PT / 9pm ET / 2am + 1 day BST
Tues May 19th at 6pm PT / 9pm ET / 2am + 1 day BST
Details of upcoming shows, including Machine Gun Kelly and many more, will be announced on the MelodyVR app soon.
Anthony Matchett, CEO of MelodyVR explains: “MelodyVR was founded with the vision of providing fans with a new and exciting way of experiencing the live music they love. The current absence of gigs and festivals is extremely damaging to both artists and to the music industry, and as a company that’s dedicated to virtual events and immersive content, we wanted to help. We can’t wait to see our studio in these phenomenal artists’ hands – and to watch the unique, interactive, 360 ° shows that will be created. This is just the start, with more studio locations being planned, and we are delighted to be doing our bit to keep live music going as a thank you to artists, the music industry and you.”
