New British artists added, as Oculus Go hits high streets in UK & Europe

We’re pleased to announce the addition of a whole host of incredible British talent to our library, as Facebook’s new Oculus Go headset goes on sale on the high street for the first time in the UK and Europe.

Classical Brit winner Tokio Myers; UB40 featuring Ali, Astro and Mickey; Isle of Wight Festival headliners Kasabian, indie-rock royalty the Kaiser Chiefs, and current #1 iTunes artist Tom Walker are all now playing in MelodyVR.

“When you’re out on stage, it can feel like the entire show has flashed by in an instant. So it’s amazing to re-live those moments in MelodyVR… I’m suddenly seeing the performance from a whole new perspective. I can stand in the audience’s shoes, and they can stand in mine.”

“We’ve watched videos of ourselves performing before of course, but this is something else. MelodyVR actually puts you on the stage – you’re not watching it on TV, or on social media – you’re really there and in the moment.”

After our launch in the US and the UK last month, today we’re also making the MelodyVR app available to fans in France, Germany, Sweden, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Greece, Austria and Belgium.

Later this year, we will announce our first VR live streams, offering virtual tickets to sold-out shows with some incredible artists. Watch this space!
